Great Post. Ok, so far, /everything/ I've read here has been great. Thanks.

Another reason "which-craft" works is that by getting people to make a decision they become part of the process. By giving people options and having them make decisions, they buy into the final product. Once they're at that point, half (or more) of the selling is already done!

Gotta go work on a proposal now. ;-)

I use a variant of this idea with my proposals for fixed bid contracts. Instead of saying "The price is $xxxx" I give the client options "For features x,y it will be $xxxx but if you want x,y,z it will be $xxxx"

From what I have seen, it changes the conversation from "Should we use Eric?" to "How should we use Eric?".

I got this idea from the book "Getting Started in Consulting" by Alan Weiss.

Hey, great post, and great info. I'm always trying to get people (clients, employees, my girlfriend) to choose. This suggestion will give me more leverage. Great idea guys!
